Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU) is a state owned university located in Lapai, Niger State.

The university was established in 2005 and named after the former military head of state, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

The university has produced numerous graduates and made significant contributions to the development of education in Nigeria.

Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Admission Requirements

To gain admission into IBB University, candidates must meet the JAMB cut-off mark and also meet the university’s requirements.

The JAMB cut-off mark is 160, and candidates must also have a minimum of five credit passes in their O’level results, including English and Mathematics.

Candidates who did not choose IBBU as their first choice can also apply for the university’s post-UTME screening.

For direct entry candidates, they must have a minimum of lower credit in National Diploma (ND) or Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) and at least two A-level passes.

Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University School Fees

The school fees of IBBU varies depending on the faculty and department.

However, the school fees range from N50,000 to N80,000 for indigenes of Niger State and N80,000 to N120,000 for non-indigenes.

The school fees are affordable compared to other universities in Nigeria, and the university offers a flexible payment plan for students.

Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Hostel Accommodation

IBBU offers hostel facilities for its students, and the hostel accommodation fee ranges from N10,000 to N20,000 per session.

The university has comfortable and well-equipped hostels that provide a conducive environment for learning.

However, due to the limited space, accommodation is allocated based on eligibility, and students are advised to apply for accommodation early.
