Kogi State University is a state owned university located in Anyigba, Kogi State.
It was established in 1999 by Prince Abubakar Audu, the former Governor of Kogi State.
The university has five faculties: Agriculture, Arts and Humanities, Law, Management Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Education.
The university is recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and it is fully accredited to award Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees in various disciplines.
Kogi State University Admission Requirements
Kogi State University offers admission to newly qualified students through a competitive process called the Post Utme Examination.
students must possess a minimum of credit passes in five subjects, including Mathematics and English Language, in the West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE) or the National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
Additionally, candidates must score at least 160 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and choose the university as their first choice in the JAMB form.
Direct Entry candidates must have a minimum of Upper Credit level in National Diploma (ND) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
