Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) is a state owned university located in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.

The university was established in 2002 following the merger of three higher institutions of learning; The Polytechnic, Calabar, the College of Education, Akamkpa, and the Ibrahim Babangida College of Agriculture, Ovonum.

Cross River University of Technology Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission into any undergraduate program at CRUTECH, prospective students are required to have five credit passes in relevant subjects in their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in not more than two sittings.

They must also meet the minimum UTME score of 160 and above and have chosen CRUTECH as their first choice in JAMB.

students who meet the above requirements are expected to undergo CRUTECH’s Post-UTME screening exercise, which is a computer-based test designed to assess their knowledge of the chosen course of study.

Cross River University of Technology School Fees

CRUTECH’s school fees vary depending on the faculty, department, level, and mode of entry of the student.

The school has two modes of entry for undergraduate students; UTME and Direct Entry (DE).

For UTME students, the tuition fees range from N81,250 to N200, 000, while for DE students, the fees range from N72,000 to N150, 000.

It is important to note that CRUTECH is a state owned university, and as such, students who are natives of Cross River State enjoy a tuition fee concession from the state government.

Cross River University of Technology Hostel Accommodation

CRUTECH provides hostel accommodation for its students. The hostels are situated on the university campus, making it convenient for students to attend classes and participate in other academic activities.

The hostels are fitted with basic amenities such as electricity, water supply, internet connectivity, and security. There are also laundry services, shops, and eateries within the hostels, making life on campus comfortable and enjoyable.

Students who wish to stay in the hostels are required to pay a fee ranging from N30, 000 to N40, 000 per session, depending on the type of room and facilities provided.
