Fountain University Admission Requirements
Fountain University offers admission to students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
For undergraduate students, the admission requirements vary depending on the program they wish to undertake.
The minimum requirements for all courses at Fountain University include five credits in not more than two sittings in O’Level examinations like Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), General Certificate of Education (GCE), or its equivalents.
The required subjects for admission are Mathematics, English Language, and three other relevant subjects to the intended course of study.
Prospective students are also required to obtain and complete the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME form before they can be considered for admission.
They must score a minimum of 160 in the JAMB UTME examination. However, applicants who obtained the Direct Entry form or the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) with a minimum of 5 points in relevant subjects are also eligible for admission.
International students who wish to study at the Fountain University must also provide evidence of English proficiency by taking a standardized English Language proficiency examination like TOEFL or IELTS.
Post-Graduate Admission Requirements
To gain admission to study any of the postgraduate programs at the Fountain University, applicants must possess a minimum of a second-class upper bachelor’s degree from a recognized tertiary institution.
The duration of the postgraduate degree programs varies between 12 and 24 months.
Fountain University School Fees
Fountain University operates a fee structure that varies based on the course of study, duration of the program, and academic year or semester.
The school fees range from N350,000 to N654,000 per session, depending on the faculty of the course of study.
However, the school fees for some professional courses such as Accounting, Law, and Medicine are slightly higher than the average.
Aside from tuition, the breakdown of the Fountain University school fees includes accommodation fees, registration fees, ICT fees, medical fees, among others. Students are required to pay 50% of the total tuition fee at the beginning of the semester or session before they can be allowed to attend lectures or access any of the university’s facilities.
Fountain University Hostel and Accomodation
Fountain University provides on-campus accommodation for its students. There are hostel facilities available for male and female students, comprising of standard rooms with basic amenities such as bed, desk, chair, and wardrobe.
The hostels are secure and fitted with modern facilities such as 24/7 electricity, water supply, internet connection, among others.
Some of the features of the hostel facilities are security personnel that patrol the premises, CCTV cameras, and biometric access control.
The hostel facility is not compulsory for students, but it is encouraged, especially for those from distant areas.
The hostel fees range from N150,000 to N200,000, depending on the type of accommodation preferred by the students. Students who wish to use the hostel facilities are expected to apply during the admission process and are advised to make payment before the session’s commencement date.
