Jigawa State Polytechnic is a higher institution of learning located in the bustling city of Dutse, Jigawa State.

It was established by the Jigawa State Government with a view to providing affordable and qualitative education to its teeming population.

The institution was founded in October 1991 and commenced academic activities with just 47 students in its first academic session.

Jigawa State Polytechnic Admission Requirements

Admission into Jigawa State Polytechnic is competitive, and to be eligible to apply, candidates must have obtained five (5) credits in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB.

Students are also required to have sat for the JAMB UTME examination and scored a minimum of 120 points.
