It was established in 2005 and named after the late Nigerian educationist, Tai Solarin.

Tai Solarin University of Education Admission Requirements

To gain admission to Tai Solarin University of Education, students are required to meet the following criteria:

• Minimum of 5 O’level credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.

• Sat for and passed the UTME exam with a minimum score of 180.

• Obtained a minimum of second class lower division in National Diploma, Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE),

• Scored at least 50% in the Post-UTME screening conducted by Tai Solarin University of Education.

Tai Solarin University of Education offers hostel accommodation to students who wish to stay on campus.

There are four halls of residence for both male and female students,

The hostels are comfortable and equipped with modern facilities such as beddings, wardrobes, study tables, chairs, and electricity.
