Yaba College of Technology popularly known as YABATECH is one of the oldest higher institutions in Nigeria.

Established in 1947 as a successor of Yaba Higher College, YABATECH has been providing quality education to students in various fields of studies. The college is located at Yaba, Lagos State.

YABATECH offers both full-time and part-time courses for students that are interested in gaining professional knowledge, skills and education in the fields of science, engineering, management, technology, agriculture, arts and so on.

Yaba College of Technology Admission Requirements

The admission requirement for YABATECH varies according to the course of study.

However, students are expected to possess a minimum of five credits in relevant subjects in their SSCE results.

Also, UTME applicants are expected to score a minimum of 150 in their UTME.

YABATECH is a federal institution with relatively moderate school fees compared to other private institutions in the country.

The school fees for new students range from ₦28,000 to ₦66,000, depending on the program.

The fees for returning students range from ₦28,000 to ₦68,000.

Accommodation is available at YABATECH for students who wish to stay within the college premises.

However, there is limited space for hostel accommodation, and it is allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. The hostel fees range from ₦10,000 to ₦20,000 per session.
