Yobe State University was established in 2006 by the Executive Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency Alhaji Mamman Ali.

The University is located in Damaturu, the capital city of Yobe State in the North Eastern part of Nigeria.

The University is committed to providing quality education and training to students, with a view to producing skilled and competent graduates that will be fit for the challenges of the 21st century.

Yobe State University has made significant progress in the development of its academic and infrastructural facilities in a short period of time.

The University has a qualified faculty with well-trained and experienced personnel who are dedicated to providing quality education to students.

The University also has a modern library, state of the art laboratories, and computer centres, among other facilities.

Yobe State University Admission Requirements

Aspiring students of Yobe State University must meet the admission requirements before they can be considered for admission.

To be eligible for admission, applicants must have at least 5 credit passes at the O’Level which must include credits in Mathematics and English Language.

The admission processes is also such that applicants are required to obtain the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scores of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) which is used as a major criteria for screening of students.

Yobe State University School Fees

The school fees for Yobe State University varies across various courses of study but on the average, the fees are relatively affordable.

The school Fees range from 40,000 to 60,000 for both fresher’s and returning students.

Yobe State University Hostel Accommodation

Yobe State University has a well serviced hostel that students can accommodate in. The University has many accommodation options available for students to choose from, ranging from on campus hostels to off-campus accommodations.

The hostel accommodation fees are reasonable and the rooms are equipped with basic amenities such as electricity, water, and internet connectivity.

The hostel fess is 20,000 per annum.
